Our school takes immense pride in celebrating its Annual Day every alternate year with grandeur and enthusiasm. This special occasion brings together students, staff and esteemed guests from various fields like academics, culture, cinema, entrepreneurship, sports and politics.
This day serves as a platform to recognise and celebrate the talents and achievements of our budding students. Throughout the year, the Student Union Club organises a series of literary and cultural competitions, culminating in an awards ceremony where the winners are honoured.
The highlight of the event are the cultural performances by our students, which are a display of their creativity and inherent potential. The celebration concludes with a grand school day lunch, making it a truly memorable experience for our students, staff and guests alike.
Our Sports Meet held every alternate year, is a grand celebration of talent and teamwork. The event features a wide range of activities, including track and field events, team games, indoor sports and a March-Past competition. Students also present impressive group performances such as aerobics, yoga, Zumba and mass P.T. We take pride in inviting renowned sports personalities to inspire our students during this occasion.
Sports events are not just for students as teachers also participate in special competitions and winners across categories are honoured with prizes.
Celebrated on 15th August, Independence Day marks India’s freedom from British rule. After years of revolts and struggles, and under the leadership of great visionaries, the country united to form its own government and identity. At RVGHS, we celebrate this day with deep patriotism, honouring our nation’s journey and sharing its rich history with the younger generation.
On 5th September 2025, Students joyfully celebrate Teachers’ Day to honour the selfless dedication and unwavering commitment of educators. This special day commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, an eminent philosopher, teacher, and the second President of India, who believed that “teachers should be the best minds in the country.”
The day began with a solemn lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a soulful Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of the goddess of wisdom. Students take the lead in organizing a vibrant and heartfelt program to express their gratitude towards the teachers.
Kannada Rajyotsava, a day that marks the formation of the state of Karnataka in 1956. The celebration was a heartfelt tribute to the rich heritage, vibrant culture, and timeless language of Karnataka.
The program commenced with the hoisting of the Kannada flag, followed by the soulful rendition of the state anthem ‘Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate’, which echoed with pride and unity.
The spirit of devotion and festivity came alive at our school during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, held with great enthusiasm and reverence.
A handcrafted eco-friendly idol of Lord Ganesha, made of natural clay, was respectfully installed in the auditorium, where it was worshipped with devotion for three days. The auditorium was adorned with flowers, lights, and traditional decorations, creating a divine atmosphere that reflected the joy of the festival.
On the final day, the celebration reached its peak. Students came together to sing shlokas and mantras, creating a spiritually uplifting ambiance.
The school proudly welcomed the Heads of RV Institutions along with faculty and students from sister institutions, who were specially invited to join the final day of the puja. Their presence added significance to the occasion and fostered a spirit of unity across the RV educational community.
Saraswati Pooja, the celebration of the goddess of knowledge, learning, music, and the arts, was observed with deep devotion and joy
The celebration began with the installation of the idol of Goddess Saraswati, beautifully adorned with flowers, lamps, and rangoli, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. A traditional pooja and aarti were performed by the staff and students, invoking the blessings of the goddess for academic excellence and inner wisdom.
The dedicated pooja performed for the students appearing for the SSLC Board Examination. As part of the ritual, the SSLC hall tickets were placed in front of the idol of Goddess Saraswati, seeking divine blessings for the students to perform well and achieve excellent results. After the pooja, the blessed hall tickets were ceremoniously handed over to the students, symbolizing the goddess’s grace and guidance in their academic journey.
