I completed my high school education at RV Girls High School (2015-18). The support of my teachers and staff helped me balance academics and sports. Their encouragement enabled me to excel in cycling events, winning numerous medals. After 10th standard, I was selected for the Indian Camp in New Delhi. I represented India at the World Championship in South Korea (2018) and Germany (2019). I have won 23 National and 14 State-Level medals. I have also received the Ekalavya Award (2022) and the Best Sportswoman Achiever Award (2023). I am deeply grateful to the RVGHS staff and management for their constant encouragement, guidance and support during those memorable school days.
Greetings to all my teachers. We were originally from Bengaluru, but my father had the opportunity to work all over Karnataka. Though I started my schooling in Bengaluru and continued my education here later, I have studied in several districts like Davanagere, Sirsi, Tumkur and so on. When I came back to Bengaluru however, I got the opportunity to continue my education at RV Girls High School. Perhaps it is my fate that I entered the film industry during my seventh-grade holidays. But neither I nor the elders of my family thought that this would be my career. Since I was very small, affectionately my parents agreed and permitted me to act in only one movie. The very next year when my father was transferred to Bengaluru, I joined RV Girls High School for 8th Standard, opted for Kannada language and made my debut in a movie while I was part of this school. I had excellent teachers in all the subjects, they used to teach very well. Even now when I see my marks card, I feel excited about my marks. Along with my acting career and the support given by the school, I continued my career successfully. As an actress, whenever I play the role of a teacher, I hold the chalkpiece, write on the blackboard and feel like my school teachers have changed my destiny. It feels like they helped me become a famous artist. I could achieve everything because of my school teachers. So I wholeheartedly salute all my teachers from the bottom of my heart.
I completed my schooling from RVGHS in 2004. My school was not just an institution but my favourite place. Here, I built personal values and a strong foundation in academics through value-added education which truly shaped my character. Maths and Biology were my favourite subjects and I enjoyed learning them with our excellent teachers who made complex concepts easy to understand. Among the many beautiful places on campus, the prayer hall and the auditorium were my absolute favourites. The prayer hall had a peaceful atmosphere and always filled me with a sense of positivity. The auditorium was a lively space where we celebrated annual functions, competitions and school events, creating some of the best memories of my school life. RVGHS gave me not just education, but lifelong lessons, friendships and values that continue to inspire me. I will always cherish those wonderful years!
The 3 years spent at RVGHS were truly amazing and I enjoyed every experience with gusto and fervour. While in school, my instructors made the learning experience valuable and the coaches made sports and recreational activities fun and memorable. I had an opportunity to take part in curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities, some of which have left a huge impact on my life contributing to my holistic development. The leadership skills and values imbibed from the teaching cohort of the school have shaped me into an accomplished administrator, researcher and a strong education professional. I had an opportunity to serve as Professor and MBA Programme Head and Area Chair at reputed Universities and Institutions like - Christ University, Alliance University, Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology & Management and RJSIMS. I also had brief stints as an entrepreneur with Zee Network. I'm currently associated with RVEI as Director of SSMRV. As a proud alumni of the school, I can well assure prospective students that the teachers and staff are very caring, inclusive and attentive to student's needs. The school has a conducive ecosystem for grooming and nurturing students to settle down in thriving and flourishing careers. RVGHS will always have a special place in my heart.
There is nothing as pure as the knowledge in this world! Hailing from a middle-class family, it was a great boon for me when the school's trust came forward to help me continue my high school education free along with a conveyance allowance to commute from my home to school by auto by our beloved honorary secretary then, Sir D.A. Pandu, since I had a locomotory disability of my lower limbs. Thus giving me an equal opportunity to continue my studies and to reach the mainstream of society. Now I am working as an Associate Professor at Kodagu Institute of Medical Science, a government medical college in the Department of Dentistry. I'm also the proprietor of Benaka Dental Care and Shivam Diagnostic Centre which is the first of its kind in Coorg Karnataka. I am happy and proud to say that our school has helped me carve a beautiful life by laying a strong foundation for learning, fostering creativity and critical thinking, promoting socialisation and tolerance providing opportunities for personal growth and development and equipping me to pursue my dreams and aspirations. Our teachers not only aimed at giving us the knowledge to pursue our dreams and aspirations, but also helped us set higher goals and taught us creative means of achieving them. I owe my school and my beloved teachers for all my success!
I studied in a well-reputed school in my city. It is a huge campus with classrooms, a parking space and a huge playground for us to play. After joining with great enthusiasm I found my school a little hard in its discipline, language skills, education and extracurricular activities. My principal was a well-mannered, bold woman who was dedicated towards our overall development. Her leadership style in leading our school made me believe that being humble and dedicated to our work shall always take us forward in life. My teachers who are demigods of the campus have always been teaching us the ways of life. My friends are the most valuable people I ever met. Our school has allowed me to meet people with different mindsets, cultures and religions, teaching me to celebrate these differences and to love everyone. Apart from academics, school life provided me with opportunities to build my character and the potential to develop my skills in socialising and problem-solving abilities. Hence facilitating my all-around development, which has helped me be a good human being for my family and society.
Greetings to all my beloved teachers who enlightened many students' lives. I got enrolled at RV Girls High School in 2007 for Kannada medium. I will remain grateful to the former Headmistress Smt. Padmini ma'am and my class teacher Smt. Vedavathi Bai for their immense educational support. Usually, students from Kannada medium schools are ignored and made to feel inferior, but my school stands apart by giving special attention and encouragement in both curriculum and co-curriculum for the students. The school supports all the students with financial issues by providing free education and resources. My teachers created awareness about the importance of education to the girl child. With the support of the teaching staff, I secured 1st class in the SSLC Exam. Later, I cleared my B.Com and M.Com (Accountancy & Taxation) in English Medium and bagged a gold medal. My NCC training in school motivated me to join the Police Service. Currently, I'm posted as a PSI. Likewise, I wish my school and the students reach great heights.
As a former school captain and now gynaecologist, I look back on my high school years with immense pride and gratitude. The experience of leading my peers taught me invaluable lessons in responsibility, communication and teamwork, skills that have shaped both my medical career and my approach to leadership. My high school focused not only on academic excellence but also on character development, encouraging students to be compassionate, confident and socially responsible. Being involved in various extracurricular activities gave me a sense of balance and helped me understand the importance of time management and resilience. The support from my teachers, mentors and fellow students created an environment that nurtured my growth, both intellectually and personally. As I reflect on those formative years, I realise how they instilled in me the values of hard work, empathy and service, all of which have been essential in my journey as a doctor. I'm incredibly grateful for my high school years at RV Girls High School.
If there was a best time in my life, it was at RV Girls High School. It wasn’t just a school - it shaped who I am today by instilling confidence, values and having a lifelong impact in my life. The teachers were incredible, ensuring that every student received personal attention. RV provided a well-rounded education, preparing us to excel in every way. With multiple preparatory exams each year, we were always ready to ace our finals. Beyond academics, the school encouraged us to explore and grow. I was actively involved in volleyball tournaments, painting, quiz competitions and served as class monitor. I also took on a leadership role as the Secretary of the Humanitarian Club, which strengthened my sense of responsibility. We had Mahabharata exams from Sura Saraswathi Sabha, GK exams and numerous opportunities to expand our knowledge and become well-rounded students. More than anything, RV felt like a second home—especially with the way we celebrated festivals together, making every moment special. The school’s many opportunities, including a scholarship from Delhi for scoring full marks in Sanskrit, left a lasting impact. RV gave me the belief that I could achieve anything - and for that, I’ll always be grateful.
As an alumna of RV Girls High School, I had the privilege of studying here from 2008 to 2010 and it was a wonderful experience. The school provided a great learning environment with dedicated teachers who were always supportive. The classrooms were well-equipped and we had excellent lab facilities, a library and various sports activities. Along with academics, the school encouraged extracurricular activities like art, music and NCC, which helped in overall development. My time at RVGHS was transformative, providing a balanced education that fostered both academic excellence and personal growth. The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit is particularly noteworthy, instilling discipline and leadership qualities among students. The school's commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals is evident in its comprehensive approach to education.
My time at RV Girls High School is irreplaceable and very memorable. Our teachers helped us grow beyond studies. The school and the faculty have been supportive of all students and helped us accomplish a good foundation in our careers. They encouraged us to participate in sports, school festivals, competitions and other activities. I went on to get my Masters in Computer Applications at Jain University (Gold medalist). I am proud to be a student of RV Girls High School. A heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all my teachers.
RVGHS is a second home to me, it nurtures students and provides supportive environment to learn, grow and explore. Students are given multiple opportunities in different areas whether it is academic, cultural or sports. RV has very passionate, enthusiastic, cheerful and loving teachers.
My qualification is a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in ECE Occupation and I’m currently working as a QA Analyst in Toronto with 9 years of experience in the IT field. I can honestly say that this is where my life was transformed into a lovely bliss, the school is outstanding and the campus is a temple where goddesses reside. Every teacher in RV is a true gem who constantly supports students both academically and emotionally by having a deep understanding of the thoughts of young women, and also, building the foundation for our lives. I have wonderful friends from this place and I will always cherish the time we had together. Words are not enough to express the experience I had there. I would encourage every kid to make the most of their time at our lovely institution.
This is a small peek into my school days. The daily waking up in the morning, freshening up, wearing a uniform, arranging my bag according to the timetable, boarding the bus with friends and reaching the school on time, if late then running around the school garden, singing the school prayer and the national anthem etc. Nothing can match the school memories, walking back on those lanes feels very nostalgic. My teachers were wonderful and friendships were for life. I learnt many things among which knitting is my favourite. School elections were a unique experience for me. Canvassing with friends in each classroom and prayer assembly was fun, which brought out leadership qualities. I won the post of Student Union Secretary. Such activities boosted our self-confidence and nurtured the bonds among my classmates. School days will forever be the greatest chapter in our lives to cherish. Today, I am a successful doctor with the blessings of my parents. The hard work and determination needed for it came from my school and teachers. I am forever indebted to RV Girls High School for all that I am today.
