RV Girls High School

National Cadet Corps (NCC)

NCC (National Cadet Corps) plays an important role in shaping young girls into confident, disciplined and responsible citizens. It aims to build character, courage, leadership, sportsmanship and respect for diverse cultures and communities. Above all, it nurtures the ideal of selfless service among youth to help them grow into useful and active citizens of the nation.

As part of the NCC, cadets are trained in a variety of skills, including:
  • Weapon training and basic military drills
  • Map reading and navigation
  • Tent pitching and outdoor survival
  • Parades and ceremonial drills
  • Adventure activities like rock climbing and trekking through specialised camps

Cadets also receive basic training in small arms and participate in parade formations.  The benefits of joining NCC are:
  • Cadets who earn the prestigious ‘C’ Certificate are awarded extra marks (10-15) during the recruitment in paramilitary forces like BSF, CRPF, CISF and others.
  • Special reserved seats in the Armed Forces are available for ‘C’ Certificate holders, offering them a pathway to serve the nation.

The Core Values of NCC:
  • Be truthful, upright and obedient.
  • Show kindness, culture and compassion.
  • Respect your instructors, parents and fellow cadets.
  • Be punctual and maintain discipline in all activities.
Through NCC, our girls learn to lead with integrity and face challenges with courage and confidence.
